The Fish River canyon is approximately 160 km long, and runs from southern Namibia across to the Atlantic Ocean in the west. It is one the most unvisited natural wonders of Southern Africa. The visible rocks are mostly sedimentary, caused by a period of erosion, and the arrival of multiple different sediments. The quartz originating from this area is usually white, and usually forms in small clusters.
